Product Description
Descending into darkness, about to be overwhelmed by evil, those people still free are powerless to stop the coming dawn of a savage new world, while Richard faces the guilt of knowing that he must let it happen. Alone, he must bear the weight of a sin he dare not confess to the one person he loves…and has lost. Join Richard and Kahlan in the concluding novel of one of the most remarkable and memorable journeys ever written. It started with one rule, and will end with the rule of all rules, the rule unwritten, the rule unspoken since the dawn of history.
When next the sun rises, the world will be forever changed.

End on a High Note November 13, 2007 B. Tate (Washington, D.C.) 32 out of 45 found this review helpful
Terry Goodkind...when he's good he's very, very good, and when he's bad he's preachy.
After a run with the "Sword of Truth" series that can only be called "uneven," Goodkind ends the saga of Richard Rahl and Kahlan Amnell on a high note, finally returning to the slam-bang, rip-roaring, sword-and-sorcery action that he's so good at.
Most of the characters from the previous books make a curtain call, the bad guys get theirs, the good guys live happily ever after, and Goodkind neatly ties up all the loose ends and answers all The Big Questions, including where OUR world came from.
After a series of 10 books that ranged from "excellent" to "shut up, already," I'm pleased to report that the 11th books ends the series very well.
terry goodkind August 1, 2010 K. Lee My husband loves this book and has read the entire series. He loves all of Terry's books.
wonderful conclusion I've been waiting for August 23, 2010 Dan NOTE, only read this book if you have read all of the previous ten. This book was absolutely captivating, I couldn't put it down for almost three days straight, which is exactly how long it took me to read it. Terry Goodkind is imaginative and very creative. I am perfectly content to admit that I am a definite fan and am willing to purchase future books from Goodkind.
The sum of its parts December 14, 2007 Rose M. J. (Orlando, FL) 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
I was a little disappointed in Confessor, because many parts felt so rushed. But I think it should be viewed as a part of a whole.
I was lucky enough to only find the series about a year ago, when Phantom was released. My husband and I bought the entire series, and could not put them down. We had many a sleepless night because it was physically impossible to put the book down. I would have to say it's the best fantasy series of books I've ever read. And the message threaded throughout the series was one that can be applied to our own existence. Well done, Terry.
While Confessor was a little disappointing, it should really be taken in the context of the entire series. And the entire series was monumental, magical, exciting, and meaningful. Confessor did wrap up the series (I was so scared that Goodkind might die before he wrote the last book) and while not as good as I'd hoped, it gave us closure.
I would agree with another reviewer, in that I hope Goodkind rewrites this book.
What a wonderful story this series has presented! I give 5 stars for the series, as the series is a sum of its parts.
